Himeji Castle

A Shin-kansen (Japanese bullet train) tour to Himeji castle. The nickname is “Shirasagi-Jo”, meaning the castle of a white heron. It was reborn on March 27, 2015, by the Heisei restoration.　The beauty in the original brilliant white is beyond your imagination after removal of decades of dirt and grime. It was used for location of a scene in “007 You only Live Twice”.

• The travel cost for accompanying persons is included in the registration fee

Gekko XII, and a huge peta-watt Laser for Fast Ignition Experiments (LFEX), Institute of Laser Engineering, Osaka University, are facilities for high-gain laser fusion, “An Artificial Sun”.
The cost is included in the registration fee.

Post Conference Tour (TBD)

Escorted one day tour(s) to Kyoto and/or Nara on November 11, 2015, Friday, upon request of the participants. The cost is not included in the registration fee.
